Peter Shalit is an Internal Medicine physician in private practice in Seattle, Washington, USA. He obtained his PhD in Genetics from the University of Washington in 1981, graduated from the University of Washington Medical School in 1985, and completed residency training in Internal Medicine at the University of Washington in 1989. Dr. Shalit has been in full time, independent medical practice since 1990. He is Board Certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and the American Academy of HIV Medicine. He is a member of the Gay and Lesbian Medical Association (GLMA) and is a Fellow of the American College of Physicians. He holds a courtesy faculty position as Clinical Professor of Medicine at the University of Washington where he teaches about LGBT health as well as HIV treatment and prevention.
