Creating a Culture of Anti-racism in Healthcare

Join Healthcare for All- Washington for their 2020 Annual Meeting where special guest speaker, Dr. Ben Danielson, Senior Medical Director of Seattle’s Odessa Brown Clinic, will discuss various ways in which racial injustice permeates much of medicine.

Dr. Danielson’s talk, with Q & A afterward, will fit right in with Resolution B-9 passed, with support of the King County delegation, at the recent WSMA Annual Meeting. The fifth RESOLVED states that the WSMA will provide educational opportunities, especially ones that help with “understanding racism in medicine, implicit and explicit bias, and understanding how race contributes to health disparities.” This is an opportunity for KCMS members as well as WSMA members.
