After 25 years of clinical practice in Internal Medicine, Dr. Baumgaertel started a new business model in early 2022 to continue serving patients virtually: myMDadvocate. She helps patients in WA state as their virtual physician advocate, guide, partner, coach, resource, navigator and educator. Dr. Baumgaertel also serves as an ally to patients’ primary care, specialty physicians and surgeons, helping to “offload” more thorough and deep-dive discussions that take time. She also continues to help educate the general public with her free website MenopauseMenu, a community hub for people to find physical and emotional support while aging and going through menopause.
